Yesterday I was informed via email that EntreCard has new a owner. According to the email:
"ZipRunner Inc. was chosen out of a number of potential suitors because
of the resources they can dedicate to the project, their exciting
vision for the company's future, and their understanding of social
media and the blogosphere."
It wasn't clear as why Graham Langdon, the owner of Entrecard gave up on it. But on his blog, Ontrapranore, he indicated some reasons. It seemed on the background there's a lot of turmoil going on especially on how the business should be run and all those problems have sipped most of his energy to the point that he's "burned out". He will continue as adviser on EntreCard until the new owners have a good grip of the business.
EntreCard is a boon to start-up bloggers as this service give them the much needed traffic and exposure, mine included. I have seen my traffic go up to more than 2,000 per month at the height of my involvement. I just hope that the new owners share the same vision as Langdon, that is to keep Entrecard service free. Long live Entrecard!

What Filipino High School Students Are Doing?
I haven't been updated with the latest information regarding high school curriculum, so I was thinking that high school students are up to no good. I normally see them playing online games and chatting in internet cafes. Aside from these, I get regular doses of news reporting our teens either involved in drug busts or sex scandals.
Imagine my surprise when a colleague showed me this website that contains High School Student Projects. I didn't asked when these projects were integrated, but I'm totally taken a back. Why? These projects are not your typical kiddy stuff, these are serious investigatory projects that have a lot of business potential. If you have a good business acumen, you need to visit this website regularly as the latest projects could indicate what's the next big thing.
Just to mention some of the projects that I consider having good business potential:
- Innovation to Let Fish Live Without Water
- Potential Use of Oyster Shells in Ceramic Production
- Cassava starch as an effective component for Ideal Biodegradable Plastic
- Cogon Grass Cardboard Food Packaging
Well? I'm sure you're just as surprised.

Out Of Stock
After almost 10 years, I've sold my shares in Belle Corporation. My total 6,000 shares was sold last week of this month for 0.70 PHP, that's a gross value of just 4,200.00 PHP only. I've gotten rid of this because I need funds to support my new business. As one opportunity closed another one opens as they say. But one thing I'm sure, never again will I dip my hands on stocks.
Despite the huge loss, I'm happy for this one big stain on my investments is finally over. Let this experience be a lesson to all who think stocks is a good option. You can read more about it in this post.
