Looking for the cheapest web hosting? Ok, I know there are lots of free webhosting offered, but most of them have lousy service. Next to free hosting is cheap webhosting, but again they have almost the same lousy customer service. But not all of them. NearlyFreeSpeech.NET is an innovative webhosting that pioneered the "only pay for what you use" service.
What does this mean? With NearlyFreeSpeech.NET you pay for the bandwidth and disk space that your website uses. Price start at $1.00 per gigabyte of bandwidth and $0.01 per megabyte of disk space per month. If you are just starting out and you have less visitors, you pay less. Monthly payments vary, there are no flat monthly fees.
In fact, you can start hosting for just $0.25. Just create an account and deposit at least $0.25. As soon as your site is live and starts to consume resource, corresponding deductions are made on your deposit. When your deposit runs low, you'll be notified and you are free to add your deposit or discontinue. Deactivation of your website in case you have no more cash in your deposit is made automatically. Not satisfied with their service, no problem, you can withdraw your deposit anytime.
You might worry that in the end, if your site becomes popular, you'll end up paying more. But its just the opposite, because the price of the bandwidth goes down as the bandwidth usage goes up. As the illustration below shows:
2GB = $0.77/GB
5GB = $0.59/GB
10GB = $0.50/GB
100GB = $0.33/GB
1,000GB = $0.25/GB
10,000GB = $0.20/GB
NearlyFreeSpeech.NET is a full blown webhosting service that offers:
1. PHP 5/PHP
2. CGI support (12+ Languages)
3. MySQL 5.0 support
4. Full access: ssh, SFTP, FTP
5. Custom control panel
6. Fast, friendly, expert support
If this sounds good to you, head over to their site, right here.

I'm a Ghost Writer and Night Shifter
For almost 2 months now I've been writing articles as a ghost writer. I was contacted by my "employer" to write for him at Isnare. At first I'm very hesitant as my time is very limited. But anyway the excitement and earning potential made me take the risk. I'm writing at least 500 words per article on a wide range of topics such as cash deposits certificates, mortgage, credit cards, saving deposits, etc. I'm being paid at first 5.00 USD per article but now I'm paid 7.50. Hmm, I'm beginnning to like this. I'm writing an average of 2 articles per week, but aiming to write an article daily.
For 3 days, I've been on the night shift because our new web application project which has been going on for 1.5 years has been released to one business group of our company. I admit were pretty much stuck on this group. The plan is supposed to roll-out one group a day. We're still encountering alot of bugs and glitches. This pretty much explains the inactivity on my blog for that period. I hope to write more posts after our application becomes stable. I estimate it would take about 2 weeks. For those who keep visiting my blog, I say a big "Thank You".

Free Windows Like OS
Heard of windows OS for free? Most probably your answer is never, but there's a windows OS look alike that's opensource. It's name is ReactOS. ReactOS is based on the design of windows xp/2003. The objective of the outfit behind it is, "to provide an operating system which is binary compatible with Windows". This means programs and drivers running in windows platform can run in ReactOS. This OS kernel itself isn't based on windows but was created from scrath, from hardware level to the application level, so you're safe to assume that you won't experience the same bugs present in windows.
Unlike linux where the different distros just adds more confusion to users in addition to its unfriendly interface, ReactOS is very windows like. As of the moment it can run OpenOffice, FireFox, VB5, Quake and a lot others. This looks very promising and I hope that ReactOS will become a full blown OS.
Current version is 0.3.7 and still in alpha stage. So far they're not reccommending it for everyday use. But to keep track of its development will definitely be beneficial. If you're interested try visiting their site here.
