Entrecard Is Going Commercial

I'm a member of Entrecard and I admit it's one of the most effective way of driving traffic to my blog. Since its inception, Entrecard has kept profit to itself, but today I received an email from them indicating of something big. The email is entitled "Important Entrecard Announcement" and boy it is really important.

Entrecard will be launching in approximately a week, the "Ad Network and a Credit Cashout Service". What this means to me and other members is "its earning time". Yup, Entrecard is going commercial. According to the email, they will be opening as much as 50% of the total ad impression to 3rd party advertisers. They are literally selling the 125x125 ads, which so far has been reserved for member's widgets.

Entercard will be using the money from the advertisements to purchase credits from members. I'm getting excited as this will be another source of income. In this tough economic times where post assignments from pay per post services has all but stopped, this action by Entrecard is an injection of the much needed alternatives. Go Entrecard, I'm in.
